Saturnus Kehilangan Cincin-nya, Skenario Terburuk!
Teknologi.id - Among the ranks of planets that exist in our solar system, Saturn is the most interesting planet. This planet is very iconic with its ring which is the largest and brightest ring in our solar system. But unfortunately, the planet will not forever have a ring, because the ring will disappeared. Yeah right, you didn't misread, Saturn losing it's ring. The issue of Saturn losing this ring is even faster than predicted by scientists. At present, there has been a rainfall of 10,000 kg of material per second on Saturn, fast enough to fill an Olympic sized pond in just half an hour. This rain is actually a remnant that was destroyed from Saturn's ring. This ring is dominated by flakes of ice and space rocks, which result from the bombardment of solar UV radiation and small meteorids. When this bombardment occurs, ice particles will evaporate and form electrically charged molecules. This molecule will be affected by Saturn's magnetic field, which then falls and burns in the atmosphere. So, this rain of material falls into Saturn's polar parts which will make the rain more heavy thanks to a very strong magnetic field. In 1986, it was initially estimated that Saturn's ring had around 300 million years left.

But with this phenomenon, it is estimated that this iconic ring will only have around 100 million years old before it completely disappears. This is relatively short, compared to the age of Saturn, which has more than 4 billion years of age.

The Origin of the Ring of Saturn

Various theories have been proposed to find out the origin of the ring. Some experts suggest that the ring was created due to the destruction of the moon with material ice and rocks around Saturn. Which is then affected by Saturn's magnetic field, so that it surrounds it and looks like a ring.
This ring was first formed 100-200 million years ago, almost the same age as dinosaurs right? Remembering that beautiful ring will disappear in the next few million years. We are very fortunate to see it, so look at its beauty as long as we can.
