Counter-Strike: Global Offensive finally becomes Free to Play starting this December. This announcement was made along with new release, Danger Zone mode. Valve is looking to bring back players back from Epic Games, especially those who love to play Counter-Strike. This feature was made to rival PUBG (Player Unknown Battlegrounds) and Fortnite. Players that purchased the game before free to play receive a privilege. They will earn a skin that can be earned easier by playing Danger Zone mode. Another privilege is they will receive Prime matchmaking, a privilege to priority access to matchmaking in order to avoid new player or those who try to evade ban from Valve.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Danger Zone
Deploying into the Danger Zone is slightly different than Fortnite's flying bus or PUBG's Troop Carrier. Instead, players are free to select a spawn location and fast rope in from helicopters. Once roped down, other players can locate your position. They can either tail you or maybe choose the Landing Zone near your position. When starting out, characters are equipped with a map and their bare hands. Players must run around to collect cash, tools, and weapons just as in other battle royale games. Certain crates require tools to open. Be careful as you may notice their whereabouts as a strategy here, once again, is required. Valve has decided to allow gamers to play solo, in duos, or on teams of three. Feedback is still being taken into consideration for some aspects of team gameplay. Matches entered as a solo player have 16 people, while team matches have up to 18 players. Which mean duo can make at least 9 teams while the team can be made at least six teams. This, however, happens if Valve takes consideration of solo play on both duo and team match. Considering the new mode of this game has just launched, it is far too soon to draw any conclusions about whether it will turn out to be a success or not. With over 200,000 concurrent players at any given time, there is a significant following already. A peak of over 450,000 players has reached within the last 24 hours partly thanks to the newest update. Still curious?
