The Robotic Farm Completed The Autonomous Production Farm

  Iron Ox has been working on perfecting its agricultural robotic farm to tend its indoor farming. After first testing, now the company is opening the first fully autonomous production farm. Angus, is the robot which tending the plants of leafly greens, like romaine, butterhead and kale, in addition to basil, cilantro and chives. This robots, a 1.000-pound machine that can lift and move the large hydroponic boxes which the produce is growing and Iron Ox's Robotic arm for harvesting the produce. All of that, including the system that monitors the plants, their growth, the sensors that watch over them and the hydroponics system, is then controlled from a cloud-based service that tells the robots when it’s time to harvest and which operations to perform. The scientists said that the robotic technology could enable future farmers to more precisely distribute fertilizers and herbicides, but could also lead to improvements in soil quality. Currently, to achieve all the required tasks in a reasonable amount of time, farmers rely on very large and heavy machines. In the future, they could use flocks of smaller robotic tractors and harvesters, the researchers said.
