Vertical and Indoors Farming: The Future of Japan Agriculture

Concerns over food safety and pesticide use in recent years have fuelled a boom in so-called plant factories, indoors agriculture is on the rise, especially in Japan. Japan is the largest vertical and indoors farming. The vegetables are cultivated hydroponically – without soil, in beds of constantly circulating nutrient solution – under LED lights in a sterile, climate-controlled environment. Nutrient and light levels can be adjusted to develop varieties of vegetables with. Fujitsu is a Japanese technology firm to embrace horticulture. Fujitsu supports agriculture through the power of ICT. Collaborating with Fujitsu make the solution was based on Fujitsu's Akisai computing platform, incorparating sensors,application and smart device. We can easily share information to optimize farm production.
